*hums wake me up when September ends*
I really got into blogging this month! And then I got a cold and went silent for almost a week. But now I’m back, getting better about saving things as drafts so I can publish them when I need to, and so excited to tell you about my bookish month of September!
The most exciting thing I did was go to the Fifth Annual Boston Teen Authors Festival, or BTAFive, as it’s more commonly known. I was able to meet some really cool authors (Destiny Soria! Lee Kelly! Emily Martin!), and I was also able to say hi to Kim Savage, whom I met back in June at Barnes and Noble’s BFest, and she remembered me! It was really awesome, and I didn’t take enough pictures, partially because my phone was dead and partially because of the previously mentioned cold, but I had a FANTASTIC time! I can’t wait for next year, where I will *hopefully* be healthy and able to enjoy my day as planned!
Oh! I almost forgot to mention: I changed up some design things on my blog (notice the watercolor foxes?), and would love some feedback on the new look! 😉
Now onto the usual parts of my Monthly Wrap-Up.
This month I:
Miss Mayhem (Rebel Belle #2) by Rachel Hawkins (3.5 stars)
Lady Renegades (Rebel Belle #3) by Rachel Hawkins (4 stars)
A Gallagher Wedding by Ally Carter (4.5 stars)
Short Stories From Hogwarts #2 by J.K. Rowling (4.5 stars)
A Criminal Magic by Lee Kelly (4.5 stars)
Eleanor: Crown Jewel of Aquitaine by Kristina Gregory (2.5 stars)
Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine (4.5 stars)
70 Kindle Books
1 Paperback- The Accident Season by Moira Fowley Doyle
10 Edelweiss Review Copies
3 NetGalley Review Copies
A LOT. You can see everything here, but the highlights were:
As you probably guessed, my favorite book of September was Iron Cast by Destiny Soria. Everything else was (for the most part) REALLY, REALLY GOOD, but Iron Cast was just super fantastic! You should read it as soon as you can (it hits bookstores October 11th, but you can pre-order it now!)!
I’m at 81 books on Goodreads, which puts me seven books ahead of schedule. Even if I don’t finish by the end of October, I think I’ll more than beat my goal by the end of the year.
That’s it for me! How was your month? Anything that needs special attention? Did you read your new favorite book? Tell me about it in the comments!
Well Wishes & Candy Fishes,
