This week I chose Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley, because Aerie, it’s sequel, came out this week! I haven’t read it yet, but I will soon(ish).
The pirate captain’s head whips around. A blade is suddenly at my throat. I feel it’s edge. I’m holding my breathe, panicking.
“Identify yourself!,” the captain of the pirates bellows into my face.
And that’s it! Did you do a Friday 56? Be sure to link it up in the comments!
Well Wishes & Candy Fishes,
Kait 🙂
That’s definitely an eye catching teaser! This sounds like a fun read and not one I’m familiar with!
This is certainly an interesting 56. I have heard a lot of good things about this book.

Great action scene for your 56 post. Sounds like a good story.
My Friday post features The Songbird’s Call.
Really attention grabbing! I have this one on my Kindle but haven’t had a chance to read it yet. Mine is from a cute middle grade mystery – Friday Barnes Under Suspicion by
R. A. Spratt. Happy reading!
Ooh, did someone say pirates?! Sounds like an intense adventure.
My Friday 56 from The Appeal Of Evil
Well, I don’t know about you, but I would not want to be greeted like that pirae greeter your narrator. Ha!
