Glisette Lorenthi – Kathryn Newton
An elicromancer newly coronated as Queen of Volarre; tends to be haughty but is learning to be a humble and just queen. Kathryn Newton is perfect because you can tell she’s a softie underneath that perfect biting wit.
Kadri Lillis – Ayisha Hart
Bright and diplomatic Queen of Yorth with a talent for archery and a few surprising magic tricks up her sleeve. Ayisha Hart is realistically a bit too old to play a teenager but I’m not taking the “official” part of this official dream casting too seriously.
Ambrosine Lorenthi – Skyler Samuels
Beautiful, vain older sister of Glisette who was married off to a foreign king after bankrupting Volarre with her frivolous spending habits. She unites with a dark supernatural being inside her mirror to wreak havoc on her new subjects and reclaim power. (Basically, all the Evil Queen vibes). Skyler Samuels is exquisite and would be so compelling as a villain – look at those cunning eyes! Plus she resembles Kathryn Newton enough to pass for her older sister.
Navara Vasila – Eliza Faria
Ambrosine’s new step-daughter, who has a kind heart and is fiercely loyal to her people. As she blossoms, her unique beauty threatens Ambrosine’s fragile ego.
Severo Segona – Noah Centineo
The king’s rugged young huntsman, ordered by Ambrosine to kill Glisette and Princess Navara.
