After finally taking View Spoiler »Reagan and Luke have two targets on their backs and are forced into hiding. With new names, looks, and cover stories, they're living quiet, "safe" lives, but revenge comes at a steep price. Reagan's actions continue to haunt the pair and put the people they love in danger.
When Reagan discovers her best friend Harper is on the verge of being kidnapped, she and Luke defy Black Angel orders and risk blowing their cover to save their friend. After the rescue attempt goes wrong, the three friends must go on the run with an army of assassins hot on their trail and the list of trust-worthy Black Angels getting smaller and smaller. Will they make it out alive? And at what cost?
Fast-paced and suspenseful, this is the explosive finale of Kristen Orlando's Black Angel Chronicles series.
Today’s post is written by Black Angel Chronicles author Kristen Orlando! I asked her what she would do if she spent the day with Reagan, and she gave me some really fantastic answers. Keep reading to find out which places are completely real and which ones she made up for the books!
A Day in Book Life
I love this blog idea! I feel like if I got to spend the day with Reagan, I would want to check out her world in each of the three BLACK ANGEL CHRONICLES books. She’s in a different part of the country in all of them, so I’d love to explore each one with her. Here’s what we would do in each book.
YOU DON’T KNOW MY NAME
(New Albany, OH)
I actually lived in New Albany when I was writing this book and while several places/areas I wrote about are real (even the street she lives on is a real street! My favorite street in New Albany), there were still some areas of town that I made up! So let’s set my dream scenario with Reagan in the fall. That’s when Landon Lane in New Albany (her street) is full of color and the enormous canopy of trees are bright red. I’d first love to go on a run with Reagan down Landon Lane and around the New Albany Country Club neighborhood. It is so beautiful there. Then we’d go grab a bite to eat at the Dead End Diner. This was a place I made up and have always wished was a real diner. I’d want to sit in a booth and eat French fries with Reagan and Harper. Then after some comfort food, we would all head over to Luke’s house to listen to Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan and Chicago records on the Weixel’s old record player and dance around their Bonus Room.
YOU WON’T KNOW I’M GONE
(CORE Headquarters)
If I was to spend the day with Reagan in this book, of course I’d want to check out CORE! I’d want to wake up in the dorm with all the female trainees, eat a huge breakfast in the cafeteria and take part in their training. Love to try out one of their timed obstacle courses and take in a Krav Maga lesson so that I could kick an assailant’s ass like all the trainees do!
YOU WON’T SEE ME COMING
(Manchester, VT)
I spent a long weekend in Manchester, Vermont a few Septembers ago and absolutely loved it. I think I’d want to spend the day with Reagan there during the holidays (like I describe in the book). We’d start out the morning in the Manchester Book Loft (which was inspired by the real Northshire Bookstore in Manchester) eating some of their delicious pastries and drinking good coffee. We would then check out their enormous selection of books and sink into one of their lovely seating areas for an hour or two and just read. We’d then walk around Manchester (which is so beautifully decorated during the holidays) and eat prosciutto and provolone sandwiches at Al Ducci’s Italian Pantry which is this adorable Italian Market and Deli in town. Then in the evening, we’d meet up with Luke, Adam and Imogen and hang out at Charlie’s (an old bar in town I made up!).
