I just found out about this readathon the other day, but I’m really excited about it! The Magical Readathon is a Harry Potter inspired annual readathon where you complete your O.W.L.s in April and your N.E.W.T.S in August by completing reading prompts! You can find more info on the readathon by watching the youtube video here.
There’s an option to choose your Wizarding Career to help guide you in which O.W.L.S and N.E.W.T.S to complete, and much like my muggle career, I’ve chosen to be a Magical Librarian! (technically the world magical isn’t in the job title, but it should be)(also technically it’s a very different job from muggle librarianship, but it’s still what I want to be!)
To earn my O.W.L.S, I will need to complete 2 reading prompts for an Acceptable, 6 for an Exceeds Expectations, and 9 for an Outstanding. I’m aiming to complete 6 and get an Exceeds Expectations, because it’s already halfway through the month and I have other books I need to read!
To be a Magical Librarian, I need to complete my O.W.L.s in:
- Ancient Runes (The Dead Queens Club)
- Arithmancy (Don’t Call Me Crazy)
- Defense Against the Dark Arts (Romanov)
- History of Magic (Kristy’s Great Idea)
- Transfiguration (Kingsbane)
So that’s what I’m planning on reading! Are you participating in the Magical Readathon? Let me know what you’re planning to read (and what your Wizarding Career will be!) in the comments!
KATRINA YOU ARE AMAZING! This sounds like so much fun! Thank you for finding it!!
